Holiday Inn at 39-05 29th Street in LIC Looks Always Empty

(post by Dee) Drove a number of times by the new Holiday Inn LIC at 39-05 29th Street, Long Island City, NY 11101… it looks like no one ever stays there! It’s open and staffed, all right. But the parking lot and the lobby always look empty. Must be the economy because the access to Manhattan and quality (while still brand new) is better than any other value hotel in any of the NYC boroughs. Hope these LIC hotels are here to stay.
It’s a pretty interesting structure, too. Towers over everytihing around in these parts of Dutch Kills.
