Vulture Real Estate Brokers That Steal Your Property?

(post by BT) There is a real estate broker in my area that has been in the business for over 35 years. People hire him because they assume he has experience and time-proven service reputation… Wrong - more like disservice! This guy has a few bad habits that benefit only him: he doesn’t co-broke with other brokers, does not spend any energy to market his listing, lets the properties sit on the market for months without any action, telling his sellers that the market is “DEAD”! Using scare tactics, he fools people with his old age, citing experience. Here is another disturbing fact. He has a listing on MLS for sale. He purchased the property himself while it was listed for sale with his office. House had been worth $575K, but he only paid $425K. As soon as he closed on it, he left it on the market and is asking $575K today. Now, it is not illegal to buy a property way below market price from your clients, if you get the owners to sign a disclosure that states they had been made aware of their property’s real value, and that you, the Realtor, are underpaying to turn around and sell for fair market value. BUT would you sign your name on that!? And it does not count if you are under influence or not capable of logical thinking – the only way anyone would agree to it.

Broker like this lowlife are out there, “killing” listings (read: your property’s ability to sell) by letting them rot, making you desperate and helpless, then buying themselves dirt cheap (or selling to a friend of theirs) – eating their clients’ own flesh, like true vultures.

Watch out whom you hire and for how long!
