One Hunters Point Condos, 5-49 Borden Avenue in LIC - Construction Progress
(post by Dee) Last week I went on site of One Hunters Point condo, to check out progress of their construction. Located on 5-49 Borden Avenue in Long Island City, 11101, the building stands on the corner of Borden and Vernon Blvd. You can see it right past the tool booths of the Midtown Tunnel entrance towards Manhattan, behind a couple of billboards. Can’t miss it! It’s sister building, Hunters View (same developer, same sales office) at 45-15 11th Street is more to the right and can be seen before you enter tool booths.
Here are pictures of the 8th and 9th floors, taken about 2 weeks ago. Hardwood floors seemed to had been laid in all of the apartments, balconies and windows (all of exterior) are done, and kitchens and bathrooms should be completed mostly by now. Hallways are next, and I noticed sidewalk being worked on. Nice progress but January 2 closing date still is hard to believe. More updated pictures coming shortly, along with a detailed write-up.
