Amazing Manhattan Views from One Hunters Point Rooftop Cabana
(post by Dee) Shortly after taking pictures of the new model units at One Hunters Point and Hunters View , we have gone back to photograph the amazing Manhattan skyline from the western edge of One Hunters Point (at 5-49 Borden Avenue)… the 26 separate, individually-sold rooftop cabanas have asking prices in the range of 45-85 thousand bucks, and range from 218 square feet to 331 sq ft. Naturally, the more West you are, and the more unobstructed your view, the more you must pay. In addition, each private cabana (there will be no common rooftop here, only a garden downstairs) will run you between $20 and $40 in additional common charges and, thanks to the tax abatement, only a buck extra of property tax. There is some concern that when The Prism condo next door is fully erected, some of the views may be less perfect but we were assured by the sales office of Brown Harris Stevens that no such concern is warranted - The Prism will be the same or lower height.
Unlike 5SL, One Hunters Point condo is not surrounded by taller buildings, thanks to it’s proximity to the LIRR tracks, the Midtown Tunnel and a slight set-back from the water, so the views are pretty darn cool from the top. Check it out for yourselves!
South view towards Greenpoint, Brooklyn, over the Newtown Creek. West views towards Manhattan. North towards Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Island.
